INDUSTRY TRAINING FEDERATION - Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) develop and arrange workplace training for industry. They have three main roles: set skill standards for industry, arrange for the delivery of training programmes and qualifications for industry, provide industry leadership by identifying skill needs, developing strategic training plans, and promoting training that meets industry needs. These roles are set out in more detail under the Industry Training Act 1992 . ITOs develop and arrange training for over 125,000 employees and apprentices at certificate and diploma levels.
