As their tennis needs grew, the club moved to four chip courts owned by Mr. Hale near the Combined Services Bowling Club. From there, they moved to View Road to the courts occupied by the Kiwi Club. ELMWOOD TENNIS CLUB - Elmwood has nine courts available - six to the north of the clubhouse, and three tucked away behind it. The courts are all behind the Elmwood Bowling Club, and look out over Heaton Park, which is well used for club cricket, and soccer in the winter - a classic Oak lined English Village Green.
